In a release issued by the Ghanaian Minister of Information, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid,the Ghanaian cabinet has banned the construction of new fuel and gas stations across the country and demanded an immediate review of the current licensing regime to ensure that only those with demonstrable capacity and competence engage in the LPG distribution business.
It followed a cabinet decision on Thursday, October 12, 2017 following the recurring gas explosions in the country.
Government has also warned that any official or regulatory official whom any criminal negligence is reported on will face the full rigors of the law.
